Connect Four

Drop colored discs into a seven-column grid, taking turns with a friend. Discs fall straight to the lowest open spot in the column, so every move reshapes the board.

How to play

This is a local two-player game — take turns on the same device, each dropping your own color.

Click or tap a column to drop your disc into the lowest empty row in that column.

After every move, the board is checked for four matching discs in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

If every column fills up with no four-in-a-row, the game ends in a draw.

Tips

  • Controlling the center columns gives you more potential winning lines than playing along the edges.
  • Watch for double threats: a move that sets up two different winning spots at once is very hard for your opponent to block.
  • Think one move ahead about what square your move opens up for your opponent directly above it.
