How to play
A word length is shown at the start, along with a row of blank spaces — one per letter.
Guess a letter using the on-screen keyboard or your physical keyboard.
Letters that appear in the word are revealed in every position they occupy; letters that don't appear are marked as used so you don't guess them again.
The round ends when every letter in the word has been revealed.
Tips
- Track which letters you've already ruled out — the used-letters display does this for you automatically.
- Look for common letter patterns (like “ING” or “TION” endings) once a few letters are revealed.
- Shorter words narrow down quickly; use your first few guesses on common letters to get the most information.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as Hangman?
It's similar but shows partial progress on every correct letter rather than tracking a fixed number of wrong guesses — see the separate Hangman game for that version.

An original list built for GenioBuzz, not copied from any third-party source.
Can I skip to a new word?
Yes, New Word starts a fresh round immediately.
